Summary/Abstract: The paper offers an account of three aspects involved in the publishing discourse: institutional, intentional and attractive aspects. The work analyses a bookselling catalogue as a publishing discourse genre and reveals such features of discourse as high operational efficiency, informational appeal, congruence and polycoded character, taking the CLE International publishing house e-catalogue for illustrative purposes.
