Summary/Abstract: The article examines some specifics related to the processes of national revival among the oldest Bulgarian diaspora – the Bulgarian Catholics living in Banat, as well as the factors that determined their threefold spiritual awakening in three different historical periods: from the creation of writing in this old Bulgarian dialect in1866 to the end of the 19th century, the period between the two world wars (1935-1943) and after 1989. The emphasis is placed on their “third revival” from the end of the 20th century, since these processes in the previous periods have been relatively well studied.
