Summary/Abstract: The article examines 66 blend words used by journalists in the headlines of the online version of the daily newspaper “Kommersant” in editions from 2022 to 2024. The author conducts a typological classification of neolexemes (tmesis andquasi-tmesis words, haplological contaminants, partial and agglutinative blends; examples of single- and multi-slot overlaps are provided), their part-of-speech distribution, as well as structural models of contaminants, illustrated with corresponding examples. Additionally, cases of simultaneous transformation of precedent texts are described, occurring as a result of replacing one of its components with a blend that retains the substituted component within its structure.
