Summary/Abstract: On 16 May 2018, on the feast of St. John Nepomuk, patron of the Banat, the Holy Father Pope Francis appointed Father József Csaba Pál—cathedral canon and archdeacon of Mountainous Banat, parish priest of Reșița “Mary of the Snows”—as successor to H.E. Dr. h.c. Martin Roos in the episcopal see of Timișoara, after the latter submitted his resignation, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Canon Law, during the previous year upon reaching the age of 75.
