Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to achieve an overview of the meanings of the lexemes eye and ear in expressions and locutions. By researching explanatory dictionaries, dictionaries of phrases and locutions, academic dictionaries, orthographic, orthoepic and morphological dictionaries and slang dictionaries, the intention is to identify and clarify the meaning of these word combinations centered around the keyword, used both in their own sense and and figuratively.
