Summary/Abstract: This work is intended to show the etymology of the toponym Uzdin. Giving explanations related to this issue, it has been shown that archaeological discoveries proved the old age of the settlement, moreover it is well known that relics of prehistory were also found there. Different opinions and points of view expressed in several studies are summarized and analyzed.
