Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the importance of photos in the media, as well as the ethical perspective in the selection of news photos in crossmedia. International and national ethical codes are discussed, as well as the lack of laws and state regulations. Given the power of photography and the impact it can have on an audience, the question is whether there are situations in which it is justified to use photographs of dead or injured people in the media and whether it is ethical to do so.
