Summary/Abstract: Starting from the pedagogical meanings traditionally associated with the term “mentor,” both in its broad and narrow sense, speaking today about the mentor teacher, about the mentor within the education system—whether a professional development mentor or an educational management mentor—means referring to the profile of a specialist who shares their own experience with their apprentices with genuine dedication, unconditionally accepting the possibility that they may surpass their master at any moment.
