Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the culinary code of the Bulgarian community in the village of Ternovka as a key element of cultural identity. Using dialectological, ethnolinguistic, and linguo-geographic approaches, the study establishes the connection between the local culinary lexicon and the dialects of the metropole. The cuisine of the Ternovka Bulgarians combines authentic traditions with adapted elements from the surrounding cultural-linguistic continuum. Ritual, traditional, and everyday dishes, along with characteristic dialectal terms, emphasize the significance of food as a symbol of ethnic and cultural continuity, reflecting the resilience of cultural practices over time. The culinary code is one of the key markers defining the community’s cultural identity and linking the diaspora to its cultural-historical origin.
