Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the report is to establish how different management styles – authoritarian, democratic, liberal and consultative – affect the motivation, commitment and efficiency of employees in metal production enterprises. The study is based on an empirical analysis in two production workshops, in which an exchange of managers with different management approaches was carried out. Before and after the change, quantitative data on the manufactured products and employees' opinions on the management style were collected. The results show that the democratic management style leads to an increase in productivity by 25.52%, while the authoritarian style shows a decrease of 7.19%.
