Summary/Abstract: This report examines how the combined use of the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain helps build sustainable and circular production systems, serving as a strategic tool for realizing the Industry 5.0 vision of a smart, responsible, and human-centered economy. The Internet of Things (IoT) facilitates continuous monitoring of resources, machinery, and processes through the collection of realtime data. The blockchain technology provides a decentralized and immutable infrastructure for storing and validating this data, ensuring its authenticity. The integration of these two technologies fosters the establishment of a sustainable cycle, predicated on reliable data and automated smart contracts. This, in turn, accelerates the implementation of circular business models, thereby reducing the environmental footprint, optimizing resource management, and enhancing transparency in industrial processes.
