Summary/Abstract: In this study we focus on the similarities in the syntactic realisation of cognitive predicates and predicates for information transfer. In their semantic structure both groups of predicates have a conscious subject, knowledge content, and object to which the knowledge or the information applies. We examine the common syntactic models through which the knowledge or information content is expressed for those two types of predicates – as a complement clause or a nominalisation. Further, we comment on the syntactic relation between the knowledge content and the object of the information.
