Summary/Abstract: This paper examines biography, work and heritage of the Slavic researcher Peter Draganov (1857–1928). In his origin he is Bulgarian from Bessarabia, but in his academic research is a Russian academic scientist. In the end of 19th century he is signed as a teacher at the Bulgarian Нigh school in Thessaloniki. His contribution is the published book with folklore songs in 1894 in Saint Petersburg. These folklore songs are collected from the students from the Thessaloniki High school. This book is called Macedonian-Slavonic one. In spite of the critics from the scientists at that time this book is believed as the beginning of the Macedonian science. Peter Draganov could not make it as scientist and researcher although his hard work and scientific ambition. He gained no academic degrees and positions and spent his life as teacher in the province in Russia.
