Summary/Abstract: The beginning of the 21st century saw satirical publications in France come under the global media spotlight. After the terrorist attack on its editorial offices on January 7, 2015, which claimed 12 victims, Charlie Hebdo gained worldwide fame, reached record circulation, and received support from numerous donors, increasing its regular subscribers many times over. But have the shocking events and the global sympathy expressed changed the picture in the market for satirical publications? Has it increased audience interest and opened up space for new satirical publications? How have events affected other satirical publications in France? What was the interest in satirical illustrated publications before and after the Charlie Hebdo attack? This study presents an overview of the three established satirical publications in France and provides data on their circulation and circulation between 2012 and 2023, as well as a look at other less popular publications. It traces the main trends in the development of the satirical press in France
