Summary/Abstract: The text draws attention to the understanding of the media mechanisms for modeling paradigms – oppositions, and anaphors in the media supporting processes of radicalization of opinions and points of view. From the „Charlie Hebdo“ attacks when cartoons became a point of conflict to the New York Times decision to cease publishing cartoons in the newspaper. The accumulated archive of reactions outlines the contemporary discourse of political cartooning by, despite initial empathy, increasingly placing it outside the pages of mainstream media or outside the boundaries of media tolerance.
