Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the influence of naval battles in the Black Sea on regional security, focusing on some of the landmark conflicts in the history of regional actors, between the Russian and Ottoman Empires, Georgia, Ukraine, and other international actors. The main events that marked the balance of power at the global level and influenced the regional security situation in the Black Sea were the Crimean War (1853-1856), the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878), World War I, World War II, the Russo-Georgian War (2008), the annex 2014 Crimea and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. (2022-2025). Using longitudinal historical analysis, it examines the strategic, operational, and tactical effects of these main confrontations on power dynamics and regional stability. The Black Sea is highlighted as a vital geostrategic space where competing political and military interests have fueled recurring tensions. The study underscores the continuity and evolution of maritime strategies, revealing their importance in addressing current security challenges. Targeted at military professionals and the general public, this article aims to provide a clear understanding of how these conflicts have shaped regional security and international relations, fostering further discussion and offering a framework for analyzing ongoing crises.
