Summary/Abstract: The aim of this publication is to present the results of research on the sense of security among the residents of the Jarosław County and the assessment of the effectiveness of the actions taken by the uniformed services responsible for maintaining public order. The research, conducted using the diagnostic survey method, revealed a general sense of security among the residents, who appreciated the presence of uniformed services, especially police patrols. Respondents acknowledged that a key factor influencing their sense of security was the frequency of seeing patrols and the familiarity with local services, including the community officer. At the same time, the need for intensifying preventive actions was noted, particularly in improving safety on the streets and in public spaces. The research results suggest that the effectiveness of uniformed services could be further improved with greater visibility and continued educational efforts regarding safety.
