Summary/Abstract: Customs intelligence and investigation is a key activity in the customs control system, having specific objectives that determine its role in the prevention and detection of administrative violations and crimes against the country's customs, excise and foreign exchange regimes. Through scientific and applied analysis and synthesis, an attempt has been made to theoretically substantiate the functional model of customs intelligence and investigation, which would enable the logic of its functioning in the money laundering activity to be clarified in a practical aspect.
