Summary/Abstract: The integration of digital technology into everyday life has significantly changed the patterns of the educational system, bringing both opportunities and challenges. The education of children under the influence of new technologies is constantly changing, considering that technology itself affects digital literacy, skills and cognitive development, socialization and communication, safety and privacy online, time spent in front of the screen, but also the general health and well-being of children, as well as parental mediation, the digital gap and inequalities. This paper deals with the possibilities that digital technologies have brought to the educational process, but also the challenges, the analysis of which should result in a better understanding of the interaction between children and the digital space, the improvement of practice and educational interventions to support healthy and positive experiences for children in the digital age.
