Summary/Abstract: Peer mediation represents a process based on the active participation of students in resolving conflicts through trained peer mediators. The application of peer mediation in the school environment is grounded in the principles of dialogue, taking responsibility, and jointly finding solutions that meet the needs of both parties in conflict. Conceptually aligned with the theory of restorative justice, peer ediation simultaneously functions as a preventive measure and as an instrument for encouraging the development of social skills and non-violent communication among young people. The analysis of available literature and practical experiences within educational institutions points to a reduction in the number of disciplinary incidents, improvement of interpersonal relationships, and strengthening the sense of community within the school collective. The aim of this paper is, through theoretical analysis and examples from practice, to present in detail the process of peer mediation as a specific model of peaceful conflict resolution among young people, focusing on the stages of mediation and its contribution to creating a positive school climate.
