Summary/Abstract: With the accelerated growth of research on artificial intelligence in education, most conclusions indicate that the role of teachers, schools and the entire educational process will change. In this sense, the goal of this paper is to examine the possible outcomes of the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process and what implications it may have for the future of schools. We recognize, on the one hand, possible applications in terms of positive impacts, but also a significant need to adapt teachers and the school system, and possible negative consequences that should be recognized in a timely manner and reacted to preventively. It is certain that the future of schools and education is unthinkable without the application of artificial intelligence, and that it is extremely important to make the necessary adjustments in time and prevent all potential abuses.
