Summary/Abstract: The author deals with the social aspects of sustainable development of water management. Water, as the most important life resource, is threatened by pollution. Global climate change affects water quality and shortages. The author presents the state of available water in different geopolitical zones of the world. He draws attention to renewable drinking water in Croatia and its third place in the world. He then advocates for sustainable drinking water renewal.
