Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to explain the concept of feedback – the information we receive about ourselves in both personal and professional contexts – and to demystify it. A multitude of stereotypes, misconceptions, and misunderstandings have emerged surrounding feedback. Research, as well as the observations of numerous practitioners in the field, indicate that information regarding our performance, our current standing, and areas of improvement can yield significant benefits, both for ourselves and for those with whom we collaborate. Given that both delivering and receiving feedback can be challenging for many individuals, this text provides guidance on how to effectively manage these processes to ensure that feedback serves its intended purpose positively.
