Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was to compare higher education programmes for signed language interpreters at universities within the European Union as well as the European Free Trade Association. This overview serves as a point of reference for the sole such programme in Poland, offered at the University of Warsaw with major in applied linguistics (with focus on Polish Sign Language as language C). The research material consisted of study programmes published on the official websites of several dozen universities. Statistical methods were employed for the analysis. The results presented in this study may act as a resource for the development of future study programmes in Poland.
