Summary/Abstract: The archive of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia is rich in sources that historians can use to research a decade flooded with history, such were the 1990s in the former Yugoslavia. Through the analysis of two first-instance verdicts of the Hague Tribunal (on Momčil Perišić and Ante Gotovina), this paper shows how historians can refer to documents that are not legally binding to reconstruct various events from the nineties and notes that, although some first-instance verdicts were overturned by the appeals chambers of the ICTY, the facts established by them are no less credible.
