Summary/Abstract: By applying the quantitative-qualitative and synthesis methods as well as comparative study, we research on the reception of the French historiography achievements in Serbian historiography after 1945. The chosen accounts we selected for the purpose, deal with the First World War topics, than interwar years, and slightly tackle recent history of Yugoslav decline. By analyzing data presented in Serbian historiographical publications, we testified of the great importance of French historiography and archival sources. Thus, in this paper, we have provided a roadmap for future Serbian historians for further in-depth research on the French stocks. The aggravation of the Yugoslav crisis in 1990s and the outbreak of war, as confirmed by the results of our research, led to a revision in French historiography towards the Serbian, South Slavic and Balkan issue.
