Summary/Abstract: The report reveals some dimensions of oligarchic politics/policy in developed western countries in the 21st century and attempts to make a prediction based on two assumptions: 1) The process of oligarchization of politics in the first half of the XXI century will depend on the future of (post–)capitalism during the fourth industrial revolution. For the time being and for the foreseeable future, the oligarchic component has/will have supremacy over the democratic one in the public governance of the USA and European countries; 2) The ideological dimension of oligarchic power will undergo a transformation in the third decade of the XXI century in the direction of the decline of neoliberalism, which will outline chances for reducing inequality and possible democratic dispersion of income and power among wider social strata.
