Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to discuss the realization of manner and quantity and degree adverbs as adjuncts to emotional predicates. The object of observation is the realization of sentences with Bulgarian verbs obicham (to love), obozhavam (to adore), mrazya (to hate) and nenavizhdam (to loathe). The use of adverbs modifying the intensity or degree of emotional state manifestation is commented. Observations are also made on the word order of intensifying adverbs in adjunct position, and on the possibility for verbal degree gradation.
