Summary/Abstract: Presentation of the image of culture emerging in everyday contacts of a contemporary Pole with individual spheres of everyday life, interpreted as carriers of meanings and associated with various values or ideologies. The author emphasizes that social awareness is shaped primarily through participation in the linguistic community andin the everyday discourse, also in its public form.The decisive influence of journalism and advertising, the influence of fashion and participation in various environmental rituals are also shown.
