- Summary/Abstract:This research explores the integration of the affective dimension into territorial planning as a way of rethinking the relationship between space, community, and emotion. Drawing on poststructuralist theories like Deleuze & Guattari and concepts such as rhizomatic thinking and the fold, the study understands rural and urban territories as living, hybrid, and relational structures, shaped by collective memory, affect, and social dynamics. The study employs a Participatory Geographic Information System (PGIS) as an innovative digital tool for affective mapping and public consultation in the initial stage of territorial planning. The developed application allows residents to express preferences, perceptions, and proposals directly on a shared digital map, generating an affective spatial database that complements traditional planning data. Quantitative results show significant variations in community engagement across the studied localities, with the highest level of interaction in Mărișel (almost 50%) and minimal participation in others. These findings demonstrate that the affective attachment to place influences the degree of public involvement and can reveal underlying economic, social and cultural dynamics. From a methodological standpoint, the research demonstrates that digital participatory tools can effectively support non-hierarchical and inclusive planning, where local knowledge and emotional experiences are recognized as valuable inputs for spatial decision-making. The PGIS platform enhances transparency, facilitates communication between local administrations and citizens, and supports data-driven yet empathetic territorial policies. In conclusion, affective cartography emerges as a promising interdisciplinary approach that bridges the gap between objective spatial data and the lived, emotional experience of space. By integrating affect into participatory planning, the study contributes to the development of more resilient, inclusive, and human-centered territorial policies.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper explores the integration of artificial intelligence and data analysis in optimizing resources within the built environment. The research examines current methodologies for implementing AI-driven solutions in building management and resource allocation. Machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics are analyzed for their capacity to reduce energy consumption and improve operational efficiency. The study presents empirical evidence from recent implementations across various building types. Results demonstrate significant improvements in resource utilization through automated systems and real-time monitoring. The findings suggest that AI technologies can substantially enhance sustainability in construction and facility management. This research contributes to understanding how intelligent systems transform resource optimization in modern infrastructure.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper investigates crack propagation trends in retaining walls subjected to earth pressure using stress intensity factor methodology combined with three-dimensional finite element analysis. The research demonstrates that active earth pressure can counterintuitively inhibit crack propagation through compression effects in upper zones of retaining structures. Analysis of three scenarios with varying crack depths reveals that stress intensity factors remain 30-70% lower under active pressure conditions compared to at-rest or passive states. Results indicate that proper consideration of earth pressure effects on crack stability can extend structural service life by 35-50%, directly supporting circular economy principles through reduced material consumption and waste generation. The study provides evidence-based decision criteria for maintenance interventions, optimizing resource allocation while maximizing infrastructure sustainability.

- Summary/Abstract:The Athenaeum represents a very particular architectural program that has a unique evolution in the history and theory of architecture. The main characteristic of its evolution is given by the two historical periods into which his appearances can be divided. On the one hand, the origins of it are related to a unique ancient form, which underpins the symbolic dimension that will circumscribe its course to this day, but on the other hand, we can talk about its forms of revival since the beginning of the Modern Era, after more than a millennium of eclipse, a period in which the program experienced a period of rebirth and great popularity under the Enlightenment. With this rebirth, its symbolic function is speculated in functional formulas that express the change of the world and its establishment on rational foundations. This symbolic side of the Athenaeum is the one that expresses unquantifiable qualities of its new appearances, that go beyond aspects such as functional scheme, the logic of the constructive system, or the types of materials used in construction processes. Through these complementary layers of architecture, which complete the whole perception of the buildings, the persistence and resilience of these edifices are guaranteed, by connecting to the cultural values of the communities they serve.

- Summary/Abstract:Planning a blue-green infrastructure system can prevent uncontrolled urban sprawl and the negative effects resulted from unsustainable land use. The implementation of green-blue solutions in a large city must take into account its spatial development vision, its historical and geographical context, social and economic elements and, last but not least, its local government mechanisms. For this reason, the sound design of green-blue infrastructure elements requires the use of correct and compatible data sets and the application of the best computer tools such as GIS. This article presents an innovative methodology for identifying and designing the connectivity of green-blue areas in the metropolitan area of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The methodology is based on a data set compatible with the European environmental databases - Corine 2018 and the Urban Atlas and on two GIS tools - Gnarly Landscape Utilities and Linkage Mapper. The results obtained are both the technical solution for planning the connectivity of the green-blue areas in the Bucharest metropolitan area, as well as the means by which it can be practically implemented. The development and implementation of this methodology had a double purpose: firstly, it is a starting point for planning the green-blue infrastructure of Bucharest metropolitan area and secondly, it represents a good practice model for the integration of green-blue infrastructure in urban and territorial planning.
