Analysis of the stability of classification of Polish Voivodeships in 2002-2010 according to the sectoral labour productivity

Summary/Abstract: In the paper the authors examined the stability of classification of Polish voi-vodeships according to labour productivity. The grouping was based on labour productivity in 6 macrosectors. In the first part of analysis taxonomic measures of development were cal-culated, whereas in the second part the k-means method was applied in order to classify voi-vodeships into 5 groups. The conducted analysis allowed to evaluate whether worldwide slowdown in economy caused changes in the similarities of objects.
