Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the issue of determining the law applicable to marriage with a foreigner or on the territory of a foreign state. Aspects of the form of marriage and the material conditions of its validity are analyzed. A small comparative study of the legislation of foreign states in this area is being carried out. The Family Code of the Republic of Moldova and some national laws are considered as the basis for internal legal regulation.
