Summary/Abstract: In the article I presented selected philosophical and doctrinal foundations of Leon Dyczewski’s thoughts on various aspects of human social life. I answered the question of whether there are any coherent ideological foundations for the sociological reflection of the Lublin sociologist. I argued in favor of the thesis that using the achievements of world sociol-ogy, Dyczewski maintained ideological coherence thanks to taking into account the category of the human person in his analyzes. I showed that he did not avoid certain tensions between treating a person as a person with metaphysical living bases and the sociological dimension of a person seen in relation to other people.
