Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to determine the essence of micro- and macrologistics and to present the elements of the macro-logistics system as factors in the development of the Polish economy. Secondary data was used to present the current state and perspectives for the development of four elements of the macrologistics sub-system in Poland, i.e.: transport networks, systems of product distribution, infrastructure connected with the flow of information and systems for the management and treatment of waste. Also, the growing role of Polish logistics in Europe was noted.
