Summary/Abstract: The establishment of communism in the Eastern European states was the immediate result of the negotiations between the winners at the end of World War II. Even if the West tacitly agreed to the establishment of some Pro-Moscow regimes in the main Eastern European States, the Soviets also considered themselves entitled to take possession of those territories under dual administration, occupied by the Red Army during the war. Furthermore, even in those states where they had total control, they had to face various issues they couldn’t have anticipated in advance. All these necessary elements made up the premises that led to the working-out of a clear-cut plan of taking-over the whole area which at that time was under Soviet Military occupation.
