Summary/Abstract: There has been a tendency to ”greening” European economy for some time now. It means that enverinmental issues are a part of socio-economic development. Sustainable development principles are implemented into economy. The article is an attempt of presentation of chosen indices of sustainable development in case of the Baltic Sea Region countries and on their basis an estimation of their economies.
