Summary/Abstract: The understandings of the nature of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) go beyond traditional interpretations of its role in business and discuss its applications in the public and non-governmental sector. It is one of the modern means of balancing the interests of various stakeholders, including between employers and employees. The aim of the article is to argue the need for transformations in modern practices of CSR and to outline the trends in their application in the labor market. The means by which higher education institutions engage their students with the topic of CSR and through which they contribute to building a culture of CSR in Bulgarian society are also characterized.
