Summary/Abstract: CAATSA (Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act) has an influence/power that greatly interest international politics and public opinion. For this Act has subjected the Russia, North Korea, and Iran trio (which it has designated as hostile states) to new primary sanctions, and through secondary sanctions it can also place pressure upon real and legal citizens of third countries who have had significant transaction with trio. This study will seek to answer, according to scientific principles, two questions: at the macro level, why CAATSA came into force; and at the micro level, for what reasons and by what methods sanctions have been or will be applied to a country that is a NATO member and an ally, such as Turkey.
