Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to analyze the contemporary secularism as a phenomenon which generates some neo-pagan and pseudo-religious practices. The first part concerns the processes which lead to secularism. The second part touches upon the problem of one of the characteristics of the contemporary secularism, i.e. redefining the main concepts concerning faith, spirituality, religion etc. The third part paints a spiritual and mental portrait of the contemporary individual, together with his/her post-modern way of thinking. This part also shows post-modernism as a form of contemporary new-atheism, and shows its relations with pseudo-religious, occult, and magic phenomena.
