Summary/Abstract: Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) detected in Wuhan, China in December 2019 has become a threat to the world. On March 11, 2020, Turkey announced its first case and World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a global epidemic. Various measures have been taken in social, economic, legal, religious, and military fields. Additively to its deadly effects on public health, the epidemic changed society's lifestyle, habits, reactions. The minstrelsy tradition representatives didn’t freeze to the global epidemic, they expressed the situation with instruments and words, they became witnesses of the age and the spokesperson of societies. In the article, the poems written by Minstrel Nurşah, who lives in Eskişehir and continues minstrelsy tradition, how she deals with emergence, spread, effects of the virus; her observations, experiences on the subject are questioned. Minstrel's poems in her archive and not yet published and improvised poems during the compilation have been used. Consequently, it was seen the poems of Minstrel Nurşah fulfill an important role; drawing attention to the coronavirus, raising the awareness of the society at the point of protection from the epidemic. While Minstrel fulfilling this mission, it has been observed that she highlights the subjects staying at home, following cleaning rules, wearing masks, supporting healthcare professionals, humanity succumbing to coronavirus, economic crisis, adversely affects social life, interruption of education, restriction of places of worship, etc. This shows that Minstrel Nurşah is sensitive about current problems of the present and she’s a translator of feelings and thoughts of society against the epidemic.
