Summary/Abstract: Military crimes are a special category of crimes, with their particular features and elements. They are delimited from other category of crimes according to the Special Part of the Penal Code of the Republic of Moldova. Desertion means the act of leaving the armed forces, military unit or battlefield without permission. The direct object of desertion is the order of fulfilling military service, established by law, which obliges the service persons to fulfill their military service within a certain period of time, to be always ready to defend the country and to fulfill their constitutional and military duty to defend the country.
