Summary/Abstract: The political and social life of the Republic of Moldova has grown significantly in the last 20 years, for which the country’s legislation requires certain changes. As a result, these changes were reflected both internally and externally, which fact I will express myself on a historical subject, from a chronological point of view. Past, present, and future - these are the three pillars of the chronological axis to which I will relate the history of the crime of desertion specific to the Republic of Moldova. Certainly, we cannot attribute to this crime the existence of those spiritual values that should be taken into account by a military man, who first of all must be a patriot of the country.
