Summary/Abstract: This current article tries to reconstruct, as much as possible, starting from documents (letters) and testimonies, the life of Moldov, the pseudonym of Marcu Taingiu, a Jewish writer born in Dorohoi in 1907. The author's name is related, first of all, to the avant-garde magazine “unu”, of which he was also co-founder, together with Sașa Pană. In 1923, in order to get as close as possible to the center of the new literary movements, Moldov moved to Bucharest, but due to family obligations he had to quickly end his avant-garde journey in 1928 and return back to his hometown. However, from the short avant-garde experience resulted some short stories, which were collected in 1935 in “Repertoriu”, the only book ever written by the writer, a volume that appeared on the initiative of Sașa Pană.
