Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the science fiction literary works published by the critic and literary historian Ovid S. Crohmălniceanu. The leader of the "Junimea" Prose Cenacle wrote, in the '80s, two books of S.F. short stories, Istorii insolite (1980) and Alte istorii insolite (1986), in which the focus is not the scientific element, although it leads the entire narrative scenario. Using the theory of the novum, the present article studies to describe the way in which Crohmălniceanu understands the nature of S.F. literature.
