Summary/Abstract: In the western part of Suceava, only 9 km away is the village of Zaharești, which gave Bucovina three of its members, moreover, all being from the same family. Their journey was, at least in terms of family and education, somewhat similar; they were born in Zaharești when this locality was part of the province of Bucovina, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, they studied in Suceava, at the Greek-Oriental Gymnasium and then they finished their studies in Chernivtsi. All three sons of the Grămadă family served history at the department (either in secondary or university education), effectively contributing to its writing through effective involvement. In addition to the department, each of them worked in the publishing field and remained in history through heroism (Ion Grămadă4), museographic activity (Nicolai Grămadă5) and theater director (Ilie Grămadă6).
