Summary/Abstract: The aim of our review article is to analyze the current laboratory possibilities of diagnosing multiple myeloma, the second most widespread hemato – oncological disease in our country. We briefly describe its definition, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations. In laboratory diagnostics, our analysis focuses on the morphological diagnosis of multiple myeloma in peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspirate. We strive for the most accurate morphological description of the considerable variability of plasma cell pathology.
