Summary/Abstract: This article is a technical talk about the capacity of an actor to train his pronunciation in order to retain the ability to adapt to different types of speech. This article defines the term diction as an ability obtained by the actor through a specific program of training and by voluntary involving his attention constantly in this process of forming a new reflex of pronunciation. It also brings into discussion the most common causes for the incorrect way of pronouncing the consonant “s”, and suggests a pattern to be followed in order to obtain the correction of this consonant.
