Summary/Abstract: This article underlines the importance of stage speaking in the actor`s creative work. It is a fact that the voice is part of the quartet voice-body-intellect-emotion of the actor and it has to be developed as much as the rest of the instruments, in order to work in his favor. In the creative process, the actor has to discover his character`s voice, his way of speaking or phrasing, tone using. But, most of all, the actor has to understand the mental path of the character – his way of thinking, closely followed by the way he communicates himself. So this article does not sustain the vocal virtuosity for the sake of it, but as a completion of the acting technique.
