Investment risk in stock companies of building material industry

Summary/Abstract: A taxonomic analysis of stock companies of the building material industry by risk is presented in the article. Selected finance indicators were used in the analysis by both factual and statistical criteria. The study was conducted by the Jan Czekanowski Method for the year 2008. The survey covered 15 stock companies of the building material industry. An appropriate procedure made possible to classify the analysed companies by risk in form of the cluster diagram. Three company groups were separated by different level of risk.
