Summary/Abstract: The thesis addresses the issue of functioning of philosophy in popular culture. The representative example for this problem is literature popularizing philosophy. The major historical determinants of the idea of propagating and disseminating philosophy have been indicated. An analysis of pro-paedeutic literature of philosophy has been carried out on the basis of the following criteria: history, selected issues, critical and systematic thinking, orientation toward the method/style of philosophizing. The main goal of the thesis is to attempt to explain the importance of all introductions to philosophy aimed at strengthening popular culture. The last decades are characterized by varied proposals in this regard, which the presented paper tries to discuss in detail.
